If the rate of gold is Rs 56,000 per 10 grams, then the rate of 22 carat gold should be (56,000/24) × 22 i.e. Rs 51,333. Similarly, the price of 20 carat gold should be (56,000/24) × 20 i.e. Rs 46,666 per 10 grams. According to the rules, the goldsmith should take money from you accordingly.
